This project includes the renovation and conversion of a heritage listed, historic warehouse into showrooms and offices for Diesel.

Via large, glass surfaces and long walls with built-in cupboards, we succeeded in structuring the space and creating a lasting basis – 1800m2 in surface area – for the presentation of the constantly changing collections.

The choice of detailing and materials for this basis is rather modest and is itself based on maximum respect for the historic context. At the same time, it remains a robust space and therefore a clear translation of the identity of the Diesel brand.

Only a few additional key elements define the otherwise open space, such as the monumental staircase which switches over into a display for leather goods and a mezzanine which hands above the ground floor like a steel eagle’s nest. The latter spans the denim lounge which thereby forms the central point of the multiple showrooms.

The renovation which comprises several floors of the historic warehouse is largely reciprocal in nature. Virtually all modifications can be undone with minimum impact on the existing elements of the interior.
