HUB has won the competition - organized by the Vlaamse Bouwmeester - for the masterplanning of a science park on the former mining site of Waterschei (B).
The jury was particularly convinced by the way the existing landscape is used as an identifying layer for the development, the logic of the design and the way in which it naturally structures the whole site.
Our fellow competitors were Arck-Proap-Wit Architects, Jo Coenen Architects - Elyps Landscape Architects, Buro Lubbers - Diederen Dirrix Architects, and Stephane Beel & Lieven Achtergael Architects together with Latz Landscape Architects.
