27.06.2008 / HUB is part of winning team.

 

In 2006 a team consisting of Breevast, Besixred, Cepezed, Grontmij en HUB took part in a competition for the redevelopment of an area between the railroad and the river Dender in the center of Aalst. The site is part of an urban plan by Christian Kieckens Architects. In the future it will house a large public parking, an extension to the existing station, leisure and retail facilities, housing and offices next to anew citysquare bordering the river.

After an extensive competition stage, our team was chosen to further develop the site. In the forthcoming years HUB will be involved in building the extension of the existing station and two housing blocks reaching a total of approximately 100 units.
