HUB, together with Bureau Bouwtechniek, ABT and CES, wins the invited competition – a procedure installed by AG Vespa – for the complete refurbishment of an existing office building into passive police headquarters. Our proposal consists of simplifying the parking structure, replacing the existing elevation with a multi-faceted and highly-insulated new one, creating small voids through-out the building in order to create internal relations and views, and topping the building with a light-weight structure – the roof shack – that houses communal rooms (with a view).
