HUB presents competition proposal.

We teamed up with APCOA and Arcadis for this DBFM-procedure for the development of underground public parking infrastructure in Antwerp (B). The infrastructure should have a capacity of approximately 1.000 cars and is considered to be one of the main city center parkings. Next to that, the aldermen have set out more ambitious goals: they want the parking to be the true beginning of the city experience for whomever arrives by car. Therefore the brief asks for a building that – structurally as well as functionally – is a grand public gesture, a symbiosis with the new river quays, and not the dim environment that underground parkings usually are.
